This is not just a limited edition green vinyl pressing of Green Day's Dookie-it is one of the rare banned editions that features an unauthorized image of Ernie from Sesame Street on the back cover. Green Day - Dookie (Banned Cover Edition, Green Vinyl). Country of Manufacture: Likely Germany or broader EU (based on LC code and GEMA rights society). On the rear sleeve, clearly visible in this photo, is an image of Ernie from Sesame Street, held up on a stick puppet by a fan in the crowd.

This unauthorized inclusion of a licensed character led to a cease and desist and the cover being pulled from production. This artwork was included only in the very earliest print runs of the European pressing-both on black and colored vinyl. Later pressings removed Ernie completely or cropped the image. Pulled from production, making these original "Ernie covers" scarce. Combined with the limited edition green vinyl and numbered sticker, this pressing hits multiple collector triggers.
